These terms and conditions shall apply in respect of all purchases from Covetear Pty Ltd unless they are specifically varied in writing and signed by and on behalf of both Covetear Pty Ltd and the purchaser of the Product (Purchaser). Unless otherwise set out in this Agreement, any reference to time shall be of the essence. If any provision of the contract or of these terms and conditions is held invalid or unenforceable for any reason or for any purpose, such invalidity or unenforceability shall not affect the remaining provisions if on deletion of the offending provision the remaining provisions of the contract can be given effect in line with the basic intention of the parties, and to this end any offending provision is declared to be severable. Covetear Pty Ltd and the Purchaser agree that the proper law of the contract shall be that of the State of Queensland, and the parties agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of that State.
Welcome to www.covetear.com (the 'Website'). The Website provides you with an opportunity to browse and purchase various products that have been listed for sale through the Website (the 'Products'). The Website provides this service by way of granting you access to the content on the Website (the 'Purchase Services'). The Website is operated by COVETEAR Pty Ltd (ABN 56 652 374 028 ). Access to and use of the Website, or any of its associated Products or Services, is provided by COVETEAR Pty Ltd. Please read these terms and conditions (the 'Terms') carefully. By using, browsing and/or reading the Website, this signifies that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the Terms. Purchasing
In order to access the Purchase Services, you may first register as a user of the Website or place an order without creating an account. As part of the registration process, or as part of your continued use of the Purchase Services, you may be required to provide personal information about yourself (such as identification or contact details), including address, email and password.
You warrant that any information you give to COVETEAR Pty Ltd. in the course of completing the purchase process will always be accurate, correct and up to date. Before you place your order, you will be given the opportunity to review your selections, the information you have provided, the total price of your order and correct any input errors.
By placing an order on covetear.com, you agree to receive marketing communications from COVETEAR Pty Ltd, from which you can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in the email footer.
Payments
Payment of the Purchase Price may be made through (the 'Payment Gateway Provider'). In using the Purchase Services, you warrant that you have familiarised yourself with, and agree to be bound by, the applicable Terms and Conditions of Use, Privacy Policy and other relevant legal documentation provided by the Payment Gateway Providers.
For security reasons, we do not store any payment information in our database. We are not responsible for any charges or penalties which may be imposed by the payment provider as a result of payment being processed in respect of your order.
Credit Cards
Payment can be made by the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and Amex. Purchases made instore are verified by Shopify Payments. All credit/debit card transactions on the Website are processed using Shopify Payments or Stripe. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to COVETEAR Pty Ltd, your order will be not processed and accepted.

Buy Now Pay Later Payment Options
When selecting the Afterpay, Zip Pay or Klarna payment option, you will be directed to the relevant platforms site to “Log In” and review the amount shown before clicking “Pay Now”. Once this transaction is complete, you will then return to the Website. If the Afterpay refuses to authorise payment to COVETEAR Pty Ltd, your order will not be processed and accepted.
Order Confirmation
Following payment of the Purchase Price being confirmed by COVETEAR Pty Ltd, you will be issued with an order confirmation email to confirm that the payment has been received and COVETEAR Pty Ltd may record your purchase details for future use. The confirmation email also provides you with a tax invoice and gift receipt.
Please note that the confirmation e-mail is an acknowledgement that we have received your order and is not an acceptance of the order.
Availability
COVETEAR Pty Ltd cannot guarantee that all products marked as available are in stock at the time of your order due to stock discrepancies. If a product is unavailable, we may contact you by phone or by e-mail to indicate any delays.
Please note that products in your shopping bag are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers until you have placed the order at checkout and received the order confirmation email.
Lost, Stolen or Damaged Package Protection – ShipInsure Claims Policy
Covetear takes care to ensure all orders are securely packaged and dispatched using trusted carriers. In the event of delivery issues, we will work with our shipping partners to investigate and resolve the matter in line with Australian Consumer Law.
To provide additional peace of mind, we offer optional package protection through our ShipInsure partner. This protection is designed to streamline claims and provide faster resolution for eligible lost, stolen or damaged parcels. ShipInsure coverage operates alongside, and does not limit, your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Lost Parcels
A parcel may be considered lost where it has not been delivered and is confirmed as lost by the carrier.
- ShipInsure considers a parcel lost once the carrier confirms the shipment as lost.
- For domestic shipments, claims can generally be submitted two (2) days after the carrier presumes the parcel lost.
- For international shipments, claims can generally be submitted fourteen (14) days after the carrier presumes the parcel lost.
- Supporting documentation may be required as part of the claims process.
Damaged Parcels
A damaged parcel is defined as an item that arrives visibly broken or unusable, such as items that are shattered, bent, crushed, or similarly compromised.
- ShipInsure may request photographic or video evidence to assess the damage
- ShipInsure does not cover cosmetic imperfections such as minor scratches, dents, manufacturing defects, packaging variations, or unsealed items.
Stolen Parcels
Parcels marked as “delivered” by the carrier but not received by the customer may be categorised as stolen.
- Claims can generally be submitted two (2) days after the delivery scan to allow time for possible mis-delivery or recovery.
- Claims must be lodged within fourteen (14) days from the date the parcel was marked as delivered.
- For high-value orders, ShipInsure may require a police report as part of the claims process.
Important Notes
- Where Covetear arranges delivery, we remain responsible for ensuring goods are delivered to the customer in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
- ShipInsure coverage is optional and is intended to provide an expedited claims process and additional protection where applicable.
- Investigation timeframes and outcomes may vary depending on the carrier and circumstances of delivery.

By consenting to Covetear's SMS marketing in the checkout and initialising a purchase or subscribing via our subscription tools, you agree to receive recurring text notifications (for your order, including abandoned checkout reminders), text marketing offers, and transactional texts, including requests for reviews from us, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal do-not-call list. Message frequency varies. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
If you wish to unsubscribe from receiving text marketing messages and notifications, reply with STOP to any mobile message sent from us or use the unsubscribe link we provided you within any of our messages. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service. Your right to privacy is important to us. You can see our full Privacy Policy to determine how we collect and use your personal information.
Virtual Try-On & Look Builder (Tangiblee)
Covetear offers a virtual try-on and look-building experience powered by third-party technology provided by Tangiblee Inc. (“Virtual Try-On Service”) to help customers visualise jewellery placement and styling prior to purchase.
a. Use of Images & Camera Access
When using the Virtual Try-On Service, you may choose to:
- Enable your device camera to capture a live image; or
- Upload a photo for the purpose of visualising jewellery placement.
By using this feature, you consent to the temporary processing of images solely to provide the Virtual Try-On experience.
Covetear does not store or retain customer images generated through the Virtual Try-On Service. Image processing is handled by Tangiblee in accordance with their privacy and data-handling practices.
b. Data Privacy
Any personal information collected through your use of the Virtual Try-On Service is handled in accordance with:
- Covetear’s Privacy Policy; and
- Applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Images are used only to deliver the Virtual Try-On experience and are not used for identification purposes.
c. Accuracy & Visual Representation Disclaimer
The Virtual Try-On Service provides a digital, true-to-scale visual approximation of jewellery placement. However:
- The virtual representation is for illustrative purposes only;
- Actual appearance, colour, size, and fit may vary due to lighting, anatomy, screen display, and individual piercing placement;
- The experience does not replace professional piercing advice or in-store fitting.
Customers remain responsible for selecting the correct jewellery size, post length, and style prior to purchase. Covetear provides detailed product descriptions and size guides to assist with accurate selection.
d. Orders, Fit & Responsibility
Use of the Virtual Try-On Service does not guarantee fit or suitability for your specific piercing or anatomy. If you proceed directly from the Virtual Try-On experience to checkout, you acknowledge that you are responsible for reviewing product details and selecting the correct specifications.
e. Returns & Exchanges
Use of the Virtual Try-On Service does not alter Covetear’s standard returns and exchanges policy.
For hygiene and safety reasons:
- Earrings and piercing jewellery are generally non-returnable once opened or worn, unless required by Australian Consumer Law;
- Custom, personalised, or made-to-order items remain non-returnable.
6. Acceptable Use
The Virtual Try-On Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You must not:
- Use the service for commercial purposes;
- Attempt to extract, scrape, or reproduce product data, images, or technology;
- Misuse or interfere with the operation of the service.
By accessing or using the Virtual Try-On Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Gift Vouchers and Store Credits
- Covetear Gift Cards Vouchers and Store Credits will be valid for 3 years from the date of issue.
- Gift Vouchers and Store Credits may only be redeemed online at covetear.com or in-store at a Covetear Studio
- Online and In-store gift Vouchers and Store Credits are not interchangeable or transferrable between customers.
- Gift cards are issued in AUD however can be used in either currency for redemption.
- Gift cards may not be exchanged if lost or stolen.
- If a purchase does not use the full value of the gift card, any remaining balance can be used for future purchases prior to the expiry of the card. Any balance that remains on the card at expiry will not be available for use.
Pre-Orders and Made-To-Order and Made-On-Demand
Styles marked as Pre-Order, Made-To-Order or Made-On-Demand will be delivered according to the estimated dispatch date listed in the item description.
You will receive an order confirmation once your purchase is placed. We'll contact you again when your Pre-Order or Made-To-Order item arrives at our warehouse and is ready to ship. A separate shipping confirmation will follow once the item has been dispatched.
If your order contains both ready-to-ship and Pre-Order/Made-To-Order items, we will partially fulfil your order—ready-to-ship items will be sent first, and Pre-Order/Made-To-Order items will follow at a later date.
We endeavour to deliver Made-To-Order pieces within the stated timeframe; however, these items are handcrafted and subject to raw material availability and manufacturing capacity. Covetear reserves the right to reasonably extend the delivery window where necessary. Customers will be notified in the event of a delay.
Made-To-Order items cannot be cancelled, unless the estimated delivery timeframe has been exceeded by more than 30 days.
Piercing Appointment Terms and Conditions
We require a valid credit card to secure piercing appointments, however, customers will not be charged at the time of booking. Appointment no-shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full-service fee and charged to the card on file. If a no-show charge occurs, the customer may re-book at any time without further deposit or charge. Re-bookings due to a no-show must be done directly with the store.
Covetear allows rescheduling at any time. For same-day rescheduling please contact your preferred studio for assistance.
Piercing Promotions may require a non-refundable payment at the time of the booking, where the full-fee will be forfeited if the appointment is cancelled.
Use of Online Store Purchases for Piercings at A Covetear Studio
1. Only earrings in their sterile pouch may be used for new/initial piercings. If the seal has been broken, or the film has been punctured, we are not able to pierce with these items. You will need to purchase new earrings at the time of the appointment. We cannot accept returns on the opened items.
2.We cannot guarantee that the earring items you have chosen will work for your desired piercing. If the post or front attachment is not the correct piece, you will need to re-purchase the item at the time of your appointment and return your online order via the Online Returns Portal. We do not exchange or return online purchases in-store.
Liability
COVETEAR Pty Ltd's total liability arising out of or in connection with the Purchase Services or these Terms, however arising, including under contract, tort (including negligence), in equity, under statute or otherwise, will not exceed the most recent Purchase Price paid by you under these Terms or where you have not paid the Purchase Price, then the total liability of COVETEAR Pty Ltd. is the resupply of information or Purchase Services to you.
You expressly understand and agree that COVETEAR Pty Ltd, its affiliates, employees, agents, contributors, third party content providers and licensors shall not be liable to you for any direct, indirect, incidental, special consequential or exemplary damages which may be incurred by you, however caused and under any theory of liability. This shall include, but is not limited to, any loss of profit (whether incurred directly or indirectly), any loss of goodwill or business reputation and any other intangible loss.
COVETEAR Pty Ltd. is not responsible or liable in any manner for any site content (including the Content and Third Party Content) posted on the Website or in connection with the Purchase Services, whether posted or caused by users of the website of COVETEAR Pty Ltd., by third parties or by any of the Purchase Services offered by COVETEAR Pty Ltd.
Termination
Subject to local applicable laws, COVETEAR Pty Ltd. reserves the right to discontinue or cancel your membership to the Website at any time and may suspend or deny, in its sole discretion, your access to all or any portion of the Website or the Purchase Services without notice if you breach any provision of the Terms or any applicable law or if your conduct impacts COVETEAR Pty Ltd.'s name or reputation or violates the rights of those of another party.
